Over 1500 lives were lost when the Titanic sunk in the Atlantic Ocean in 1912 and the last living survivor of that disaster is Millvina Dean who is ninety seven years old.  According to documents and news accounts, as an infant, she was lifted into a lifeboat in a canvas mailbag, which later was used to carry her family’s belongings back to Southhampton.
